    Just orded my 2 man particle bivvy and waiting for it to arrive and cant wait to use it for an all night fishing and camping trip at my local foreshore, fishing night tide and next morning tide, iam a bit concerned about the way the floor is attatched, could extra velcro be added to give the floor a bit more support to the sides.

      Well done. We have tailored our one to suit the single beaches by sewing onto the base flaps large pieces of an 45 inches fishing brolly. It makes it impossible to blow away in normal conditions. In fine weather will work well with existing flaps weighed with shingle.

      When I set it up I can’t get the pegs in properly if I peg the front first the back is raised and if I peg the back first the front is raised any idea on a good method of setting it up

    • @dale7933
      @dale7933 Год назад

      @Ben Wilkie yeah I had that problem so now I peg one side in where all the poles meet then do the front and back,then push the other side in where all the poles meet til it's tight then peg it,usually works for me 👍 However sometimes this means one side of the groundsheet may not fit properly,uneven ground on pegs can cause this to happen ie,the pront of the bivvy is lower than the back.

    • @benwilkie3265
      @benwilkie3265 Год назад

      @@dale7933 do you put the storm poles or whatever they are called on first before you put any pegs in

    • @dale7933
      @dale7933 Год назад

      @Ben Wilkie yes mate,then just position the bivvy once it's up,and peg one side,then peg the 2 at each side of the entrance and the 2 exactly opposite at the back,then push the other side in til the bivvy tightens up and peg that last side and put test of pegs in,i find if you put the tension strap on across the floor it can make the bivvy a little too tall depending in the ground my advise is leave it off and try this way👍

      @wheretogoto Год назад

      Well thank you for asking. We use the Pro-logic Bite Alarm at about £80 for a set of 3 plus sounder box. We use them because of the waterpoof qualities. We add extra electrical tape on the battery compartment, but not really necessary. Swivel head top for about £5. The bite alarm bar for about maybe £9. The drop back bite indicators are Fox and they are about £12 a set with chains, plus £10 for titanium spring, plus about £10 for radioactive isotope light, £3 for small 3mm stainless nut& bolts and lastly slow acting Araldite for about£5 to glue the swivel head, otherwise it turns. Batteries are also about £12 = about £180

    Just searched for 16ft beach rods and this popped up. I fish surf Beaches in Ireland, in moderate conditions 60 yards would be the furthest cast. But when it's pushing in a swell of 12 ft plus or even double you need to hit far as the fish don't come in as close. 4 foot walls of foaming surf hitting the bank at high tide. Hope you don't mind me asking what would you recommend me at a budget price. I have been lure fishing for year's. I've good old 13 ft century tip tornadoes and conoflex rods. But I'd like to try an affordable fixed spool rod.

    • @wheretogoto
      @wheretogoto Год назад

      This 16 ft rod is of very high quality build and under £100. 16 ft rod can allow for much further casting if you have the technique...it can be tiring on the arms reeling in though.
